King of Macedon (336-323 BC) and conqueror. He defeated Darius III at the Battles of Issus (333) and Gaugamela (331). He conquered Persia, Egypt (founded Alexandria, 331), and India (Battle of the Hydaspes, 326). He died at 32 in Babylon (323)
