3300-1300 BC, Indus Valley. Layout: grid streets, drainage (clay pipes), citadel, granaries. Mohenjo-Daro (35,000 inhabitants): 'Great Bath' (12×7 m, ritual washings?), standard brick (4:2:1). Discovered in the 1920s (John Marshall). No palaces, temples, weapons - a peaceful civilization?
