The Sobornoye Ulozhenie of 1649 — the first printed code of laws in Russia, with 25 chapters and 967 articles. Adopted by the Zemsky Sobor after the Salt Riot. A commission summarized Russian law, Byzantine sources, and the Lithuanian Statute.
