Withdrawal from the INF Treaty (2019)
The Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty (INF, 1987) was suspended on February 1, 2019, after the US accused Russia of violations (9M729 missile since 2013). The US officially withdrew on August 2, 2019, followed by Russia, ending an era of arms control.
