⚖️Statute of Vladimir Monomakh (1113)
Triggered by a Kyiv uprising against usurers after Sviatopolk II's death, Monomakh was invited by the boyars. The statute limited interest rates and prohibited enslaving debtors beyond a certain amount, improving the status of debtors, a rare social legislation for the era.
