⚔️Assault on the Galata Tower (July 1203)
The Golden Horn (harbor) was closed by a chain. The Galata Tower on the northern shore controlled the chain. Venetians attacked the tower from the sea on July 6. The assault from ships succeeded. The chain was broken. The fleet entered the Golden Horn, threatening the maritime walls (weaker than the land ones).
