⚔️Byzantine Fleet on the Lake
Alexius I sent a fleet to Lake Ascanius. Ships were transported overland (dismantled, carried, reassembled on the lake). The fleet blocked the southern side of the city. The Turks lost their water supply. Sultan Kilij Arslan could not assist, having been defeated by the crusaders on May 21.
