Long Range Navigation (1940s, US Navy). Time difference of signals from 2 stations → hyperbola of possible locations. 3 stations → intersection of 2 hyperbolas = coordinates. Accuracy ±200 m. Replaced by GPS (1990s), but still used as a backup. Also used for submarine hydro-location.
