King of England (1189-1199) and leader of the Third Crusade. He captured Acre (1191) and won at Arsuf (1191) but did not take Jerusalem. He negotiated a treaty with Saladin (1192) allowing Christians to pilgrimage. Died from a wound during a siege (1199)
