🎭Sophocles 'Oedipus Rex'
Ancient Greek tragedy ~429 BC. Oedipus investigates the murder of King Laius → discovers he is the murderer (unknowingly killed his father), married his mother Jocasta. The prophecy is fulfilled despite attempts to avoid it. Jocasta hangs herself, Oedipus blinds himself.
